Newdegate Field Day – September 2026
The Newdegate Field Day is one of WA's premier agricultural events, drawing farmers, landholders, and rural businesses from across the wheatbelt and beyond. This year, Diesel n Dust Hunting will be on the ground alongside Barry and Son Firearms — and if you're into thermal hunting, pest control, or vehicle setups for the paddock, you'll want to come and find us.
What We'll Have on Display
We'll be showcasing our range of thermal optics, hunting accessories, and vehicle mounting solutions — the kind of gear that makes a real difference when you're managing pigs, foxes, and rabbits on a working property. Barry and Son Firearms will be on hand with their expertise in firearms and ammunition, making it a one-stop shop for anyone serious about pest control.
It's a great opportunity to get hands-on with the gear, ask questions, and talk through what setup suits your property and hunting style. We're hunters ourselves — not just retailers — so you'll get straight answers.

Thermal Shooting Demonstration Night – 4th September, Near Kojonup
Hot on the heels of the field day, we're hosting a Thermal Shooting Demonstration Night on the 4th of September on a property near Kojonup, Western Australia. This is a hands-on evening where you can see thermal optics in action in real hunting conditions — not a showroom, not a car park, but out in the paddock where it counts.
What to Expect
- Live demonstrations of thermal riflescopes and spotters in the field
- Hands-on time with the gear — see for yourself what thermal hunting looks like at distance
- Practical tips on zeroing, target identification, and getting the most out of your thermal setup
- A relaxed, no-pressure environment — whether you're new to thermal or already running a setup, there's something to learn
Who Is It For?
This night is open to anyone curious about thermal hunting — farmers and property managers dealing with pest pressure, hunters looking to upgrade their night hunting capability, or anyone who's been thinking about thermal and wants to see it in action before committing to a purchase.
